Hi, I’m Ish.

I’m a photographer, digitech, and culinary artist currently based in Austin, TX.

I work behind the scenes in the commercial photo world as a digital tech and production assistant——supporting shoots for major brands while learning from some of the best in the industry.

But beyond the set, I’m on a mission to reclaim creative sovereignty.

After years of freelancing, hustling, and doing work that didn’t always feel aligned, I’m returning to the heart of why I create. I’m building a self-guided MFA centered on the three themes that move me most:

Culture — Centering stories of people, place, and identity—especially Black and Brown creatives and laborers.

Flavor — Exploring food as a creative and cultural force—blending memory, heritage, and invention.

Power — Creating work that awakens voice, agency, and self-expression through visual and written storytelling.

Through photography, food, writing, and video, I’m crafting a personal body of work that honors where I come from and what I’m here to do. I don’t have all the answers——but I’m committed to the process.

✶ This site is a living document. I’ll be sharing works-in-progress, photo essays, journal entries, recipes, and reflections as I go.
